Confused by your charges? Here are some of the most common causes of data charges and how to manage them.
Data Charges
The best way to browse the internet on your phone is to purchase a data plan. (To find out what plan is right for you click here). Browsing the internet without a data plan will charge you from your main credit balance. If you have not activated a data plan, check your transaction history on the My Digicel app to see if your credit was spent on data. For details on how to check your transaction history, click here.
If you are connected to Wi-Fi or if you are not browsing the internet, we recommend you turn off your data to avoid unexpected data charges.
Expired Data Plan
When your data plan expires, or if you don't have enough credit to auto-renew your plan, this means data will be charged from your credit as you don't have an active data plan on your account.

Protecting yourself from Data Plan Expiry
My Digicel will send you an SMS when your data plan is close to expiry - keep an eye on this to know when to activate a new plan. If you have the latest version of My Digicel, you will be given the option to purchase a new data plan.
